Going Green – investing in sustainability

At Your Street, we’re pleased to offer investors further opportunities to get behind our goal of funding sustainable housing in one of the most desirable regions in England – the South West. Our new Green share options are available in a choice of terms with various return structures.

We’ve chosen to focus on the South West as we believe it offers the very best of city, rural and coastal living. Residents benefit from good transport links, schools and strong local employment opportunities. The South West is also home to some of the most stunning coastlines in the country as well as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The opportunity – Green redeemable shares

Our funding opportunity is offered as a redeemable share which is available as a one, three or five-year term. Returns for our income shares are paid out quarterly while growth share investors are paid at the end of the investment term.

Shares are issued by our flagship development partner, and capital is secured by its group parent company. Our projects are also governed by strict due diligence procedures.

Our projects

Our developer has a number of pipeline sites in 2022 which will provide around 2,000 homes. These will cater to a broad market but is skewed towards families and those who wish to downsize or are looking to retire.

As well as building quality homes with a range of practical features such as flexible living space and cabling for electric car charging points, These homes are designed in line with Green sustainability principles and built with the future in mind. It means that all new homes will be designed to minimise carbon output and be as energy efficient as possible. This includes the use of ground and air source heat pumps, solar PV panelling, Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery systems, triple glazed windows to maximise heating efficiency, and smart home automation. Our projects also aim to minimise environmental impact through, sustainable urban drainage systems.

Examples of our projects with an emphasis on sustainability include:

The Old Printworks, Frome, Somerset

Frome is a bustling market town with something for everyone. Rich in culture, the town boasts a thriving arts and culture scene that also benefits from direct transport links to Bath, Bristol and London. A selection of good schools also makes Frome an excellent choice for young families keen to balance town living with access to the countryside.

The site itself is located on the former site of colour printers, Butler, Tanner & Dennis. The project will breathe new life into this historic area. A neighbourhood community centre, children’s play area and access to riverside walks will also help foster a sense of community.

Phases one is made up of 51, two, three, and four-bedroomed homes with phase two homes just launched.

Treglos, Constantine Bay, Cornwall

Within walking distance of two beaches, Treglos offers the very best of coastal living. The site will transform the former 42-room Treglos hotel, along with its outbuildings into apartments, duplexes, and three, and four-bedroom homes.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, the homes at Treglos will not be heated using fossil fuels. Instead, they will include ground source heat pumps and Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery systems. Both of which will actively reduce carbon emissions.

Solar PV panels will also be added to buildings in addition to triple glazed windows. All homes will also be equipped with electric car charging points. The result will be a contemporary, future-ready home that achieves a minimum EPC rating of B. This means an 80% reduction in the property’s carbon footprint. It will also lower running costs by approximately 50% compared to an existing UK home.

Cubis Bruton, Bruton, Somerset – phase two

With its excellent schools and internationally celebrated art gallery, Hauser & Wirth, Bruton is an exclusive market town set within the leafy south Somerset countryside.

But our Cubis Bruton project isn’t just about the location, the properties are exclusive works of art themselves. Designed by renowned land artist, Mark Merer, homes here, have been landscaped into the environment. Selected homes have been built with sedum green roofs to provide a safe haven for wildlife, while bat and bird boxes preserve local biodiversity.

Homes also benefit from triple glazing, mechanical ventilation heat recovery systems and underfloor heating. All of which will help Cubis Bruton homes reach a minimum EPC rating of A. Phase two homes will all include electric car charging points too.
